Welcome & Meeting Arm
The Young Researchers BNCT Meeting first started in 1999 at Petten for the purpose to facilitate the knowledge exchange among young researchers as well as graduate students, who are the future of BNCT society. The young members are encouraged to actively participate the meeting and also learn to be a chairperson in a topic section. In addition, the meeting provides the platform for young members to present their latest work and increase their presentation experience.
Apart from providing the presentation opportunities, another important objective of the YBNCT meeting is education. Young members and newcomers could learn from the experienced scholars/experts in the invited talks about general topics and the latest development in BNCT. Knowing each other is as important as the above meeting purposes. Making friends in the meeting is just so normal that many attendants can establish further partnership and cooperation among different BNCT groups and fields.
The 6th YBNCT meeting, organized mainly by our young researchers and graduate students, will be held between 4 - 8 Dec. 2011, in the beautiful campus of National Tsing Hua University at Hsinchu, Taiwan. It is the honor of the Taiwanese BNCT group to host this meeting and we are looking forward to welcoming all the young members and newcomers of BNCT society in the THOR BNCT center. This is the first time that the YBNCT meeting is hosted outside the Europe, and the organizing committee will strictly follow the tradition - make it the same interesting and fun as it was in the past 5 meetings! We do hope that this meeting can stimulate everyone's thought and induce many great ideas!
