腦部創傷 Brain Injury

臺大醫院與清華大學語言與認知病理學實驗室

徵求 腦部創傷受試者

本研究藉由磁振造影探討輕度至重度頭部創傷患者認知功能受損的機轉,進而對腦傷患者進行認知訓練,提升記憶力及注意力。

研究內容

頭部創傷患者將會接受認知訓練共七週,每週1.5~2個小時。個案參與研究需進行兩次磁核共振掃描,每次時間約50分鐘。

徵求符合以下條件的受試者:

(a)40名輕度至重度頭部創傷患者

1.教育程度六年以上

2.年齡介於20歲至50歲之間

3.雷氏修正量表(MRS)5分以下

4.簡易智能量表(MMSE)高於10分

5.母語是中文

(b)20名健康受試者

1.教育程度六年以上

2.年齡介於20歲至50歲之間

3.慣用手為右手

4.母語是中文

若有下列情況者,則不能參加試驗:

1.裝有心律調節器者

2.腦中裝有磁核造影不相容之金屬物質

3.酒精或藥物成癮者

4.精神病史及憂鬱者

5.有嚴重內科疾病者,如:腎衰竭、肝衰竭、心臟衰竭、中風、心肌梗塞、控制及差之高血壓、糖尿病患者

6.懷孕婦女、受刑人

7.失智症患者、癲癬患者

Recruiting: Subjects for brain damage research

 

This research project investigates the cognitive impairment mechanisms of mild to severe head injury patients through MRI and provide cognitive training to enhance their memory and concentration. 

 

Research Content

Head injury patients will undergo a 1.5-2 hours of cognitive training every week for a total of 7 weeks. Subjects are required to complete 2 MRI scans, 50-minute for each session.

 

Requirements

(a) 40 patients of mild or severe brain damages

1. Level of education: 6 years and above

2. Age: 20-50 years old

3. Obtain 5 scores and below in Modified Rankin Scale (MRS)

4. Obtain 10 scores and above in Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE)

5. Native language must be Mandarin

 

(b) 20 healthy subjects

1. Level of education: 6 years and above

2. Age: 20-50 years old

3. Right hand as dominant hand

4. Native language must be Mandarin

 

People of the following conditions are not qualified to participate:

1. Pacemaker users

2. Have MRI incompatible metal implant in the brain

3. Addicted to alcohol or drugs

4. Have a history of mental illnesses or depression

5. Patients of severe Internal Medicine Diseases such as kidney failure, liver failure, heart failure, stroke, heart attack, resistant hypertension and diabetes

6. Pregnant women or sentenced persons

7. Dementia or epilepsy patients
